SOC has developed small PCBs built with all of the hardware components necessary for most FPGA based applications. These modules may be purchased without firmware, allowing developers to develop their own firmware into a convenient plug-and-play module package.
SOM cards are designed to be powerful yet modular components that interface with larger host systems using a standard 204-pin SO-DIMM connector. Their modular design allows them to be easily upgraded or replaced without reconfiguring the entire system. The VTR-S1000 together with SOM cards provide a convenient and modular development platform, separating configuration from deployment. Modules may be re-configured independently in a lab, then physically delivered to live host systems very quickly and easily.
