The MPEG Transport Stream (TS) Encoder (MUX) and Decoder (DeMUX) cores provide an efficient means of packing elementary streams into TS format for transmission. The SOC transport encoder and decoder IP cores are implemented using all-hardware architecture without embedded processors and software. They provide high-speed video and audio stream multiplexing and de-multiplexing at a very low latency and tiny resource footprint.

The MPEG Transport MUX/DeMUX can be evaluated on SOC's Evaluation Kits. Evaluation kits include a carrier-board with all the ports and extensions needed for most video-based applications. The module and carrier board firmware are reconfigurable, and we can license board files if needed.
