The SOC H.265 to H.264 Transcoder Modules are based on the low latency H.265 decoder IP core and H.264 encoder IP core. The transcoder modules provide high speed (low-latency) and high video quality transcoding from H.265 streams to any desirable H.264 profile which includes high, main, and baseline.
The SOC H.265 to H.264 Video Transcoder System-on-Module (SOM) includes all required hardware components for H.265 to H.264 video transcoding. It is a complete unit that receives H.265 compressed video stream in transport or elementary format, and outputs H.265 compressed video stream in transport or elementary format.
The SOC H.265 to H.264 Video Transcoder SOM can interface with an FPGA or a processor for user product integration or can be connected to I/O cards for direct product integration and fabrication.
SOC also offers product development boards, which allow users to develop products using the SOC H.265 to H.264 Video Decoder Modules.
Customized modules are also available based on user specifications, given a reasonable production volume. In addition, SOC can integrate the I/O interfaces such as Ethernet MAC, UDP/IP, and HDMI into the module to produce full SOM solution.
The H.265 to H.264 Transcoder Modules can be evaluated on SOC's Evaluation Kits. Evaluation kits include a carrier-board with all the ports and extensions needed for most video-based applications. The module and carrier board firmware are reconfigurable, and we can license board files if needed.
